SUMMARY:TYLER SPENCER | FREE
DESCRIPTION:A night of beautiful instrumentation and song writing along with creative looping and beat making. This will be a magical sonic experience not to be missed.\n\n\n\nTYLER SPENCER  ⎮   Newport\, Oregon\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTyler Spencer’s Didgeridoo Experience combines funky didgeridoo rhythms\, worldly percussive beats\, storytelling and audience participation. The didgeridoo has been played by Aboriginal Australians for at least 1500 years\, and is known for its otherworldly sound. Tyler is a master didgeridoo player (and crafter) based out of Newport. He has been performing\, teaching and making didgeridoos for 20+ years\, and he is one of the most accomplished and talented didge players in the U.S. You’ll learn about Australian music\, how didgeridoos are made and more … all while moving and grooving to the pulsing rhythms of the didge. Tyler’s Didgeridoo Experience is interactive\, educational and entertaining for all ages!\n\n\n\nUsed in Aboriginal ceremonial performances to share stories and imitate wildlife\, the didgeridoo is made of wood. Once chopped down\, the logs are placed into giant termite mounds where the insects do the initial labor of hollowing out the log. The log is then chiseled out\, stripped down and sanded. Like brass instruments\, didgeridoos are played using circular breathing\, a method that allows a musician to breathe in through their nose while exhaling out the mouth\, keeping the sound going without interruption for a breath.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFREE SHOW!\n\n\n\n6PM-7PM\n\n\n\n818 SW FOREST AVE\n\n\n\nMORE INFO HERE
