DESCRIPTION:HERE ON A FLIGHT PATH\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHERE ON THE FLIGHT PATH\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHailed by critics as “a play to make spirits soar” (Hamilton Spectator) and “fall down funny\, heart-tuggingly sad and wildly romantic” (Mississauga News)\, HERE ON THE FLIGHT PATH is a hilarious and heartfelt romantic comedy that follows John over the course of three and half years as he interacts with three neighbors from his apartment balcony: Faye\, a practicing member of the world’s oldest profession; Angel\, a somewhat naïve aspiring musical theatre performer; and Gwen\, a recently divorced homemaker. Sex\, love\, life and loss are all discussed with big laughs and a few tears in what many describe as Norm Foster’s funniest play ever. \n\n\n\n“Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a lively trip. The laughs are nearly non-stop.” Simcoe Reformer\n\n\n\nELLIPSE THEATER COMMUNITY\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n2 SHOWINGS 2PM & 7PM\n\n\n\nCLICK TO GET TICKETS HERE!\n\n\n\nMAIN HALL ENTRANCE & TICKETING:\n\n\n\n818 SW FOREST AVE. SUMMARY:DANCE STORYTELLING BY RENEE GONZALEZ | FREE
DESCRIPTION:Come and feel the music move you as elemental rhythms provoke a curiosity of spring’s growing spirit. Mother Earth’s rivers\, waterfalls\, oceans and forests constantly illustrate that change is constant. Can we interpret\, discover and enjoy within our life’s cyclical themes of change? How does stillness\, silence and sound teach you to listen for answers often offered to your questions in nature? Renee will encompass this theme of transformation\, personal and integrative\, through a dialogue of expressive movements\, traditional and contemporary.\n\n\n\nRenee Gonzalez grew up in Los Angeles and Orange County\, California. She studied in Colima\, Mexico\, and then completed a bilingual cross-cultural language internship through California State University Fullerton. She taught elementary school in Santa Ana\, on the Pala reservation\, and in a dual language program in San Clemente. In 2007\, Renee and her family moved to Bend and she began teaching English language development and mainstream classes at Jewell. She also taught in the dual immersion program at Bear Creek Elementary for six years. Now Renee is inspired to develop a culturally responsive arts-integrated curriculum for LCA’s Raices program and Amiguitos summer club. She studied Intercultural Communications at Humboldt State University in Arcata\, Calif.\, and Arts Integration into the Curriculum through Lesley University.\n\n\n\nCLICK FOR MORE ON A NOVEL IDEA\n\n\n\nPRESENTED TO YOU BY THE DESCHUTES PUBLIC LIBRARY\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFREE / ALL AGES\n\n\n\n3PM – 4PM\n\n\n\n818 SW FOREST AVE. \n\n\n\nDOWNTOWN\, REDMOND OR.
