After college David played guitar on the international tour of Bring It On: The Musical\, which included over 120 in the USA and Tokyo. After living in Portland and The Oregon Coast\, his wife and him relocated to Prineville to enjoy more space and time in nature.

And ultimately\, Darrell knows the sole truth of life is that love is all that matters\, that we don’t always get it right\, but that’s the instinctive and requisite circuitous allure of things\, why we forever chase it\, and why it is held sacred.\n\n\n\n2017 and 2018 Darrell opened for and performing with the Zac Brown Band\, these days find him roaming his Tennessee wilderness acreage hiking along the small river\, playing music\, or sharing each day with the woman he loves\, also an artist in her own right. His projects have topped both the Billboard and Americana radio charts\, won Independent Music Awards\, and been nominated for the Americana Music Association’s Emerging Artist of the Year award. He is a prolific singer/songwriter whose songs have now yielded an impressive 13 studio Too Slim and the Taildraggers albums\, 2 solo albums and several live CD’s all on his own Underworld Records imprint. Too Slim and the Taildraggers are Tim “Too Slim” Langford on guitar/vocals\, Zach Kasik on bass/vocals and Jeff “Shakey” Fowlkes on drums/vocals.\n\n\n\n “High Desert Heat” is the latest giant step in the evolution of their contemporary Blues/Rock sound that has been described as “Straight Whiskey Blues with a Southern Rock Beer Chaser”. High Desert Heat charted 11 times in the Billboard Top Blues Album Chart in 2018 and was nominated for Best Blues/Rock album at the 2019 Blues Music awards. High Desert Heat is also featured in heavy rotation on Sirius XM’s B.B. King’s Bluesville.
